Funding Opportunity - Multicampus Research Programs & Initiatives
Dear Colleagues,
With this reminder, I would like to encourage your application to the UC systemwide funding competition for support of multicampus collaborative research. I believe that UC Irvine has the potential to be well represented in this competition, with our broad range of innovative research projects that extend across several campuses through interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary collaborations.
Selection and oversight of the Multicampus Research Programs and Initiatives (MRPI) will be managed by UC Office of the President, with participating reviewers that will include UC and non-UC researchers.
Before the final deadline, when I will provide a support letter for each application from UC Irvine, I plan to meet with reviewers from the Academic Senate Council on Research, Computing and Libraries (CORCL) to obtain their advice.
Please make sure to copy me via or@research.uci.edu when you submit your letter of intent (LOI), due March 16, 2009, one month before the final due date of April 15, 2009. After we have received the copy of your LOI submission, we will contact you in order to collect information for the support letter. Note that both the LOI and the final proposal are due at noon on their respective due date; it's been suggested that you finish ahead of that deadline to allow time for the system to confirm receipt of your application.
