Humanities Center

The Humanities Center supports and advances interdisciplinary research, collaboration, and public engagement across UCI’s School of Humanities. Established in 2015 as the Humanities Commons and renamed the Humanities Center in 2019, the Center coordinates and supports a broad network of centers, research clusters, and projects while fostering connections among faculty, students, and community partners. Its activities include faculty research grants, graduate professional development programs, digital humanities initiatives, and public humanities partnerships. The Center has received major external funding from the Mellon Foundation, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Luce Foundation in support of innovative scholarship and training in the humanities.
