Artificial Intelligence in Science Institute (AISI)

The primary mission of the UCI Artificial Intelligence in Science Institute (AISI) is to foster research on the applications of AI to all the sciences, and on the mathematical and algorithmic foundations of AI. The Institute also fosters research on societal issues related to AI, including safety issues.

AISI is dedicated to:

• Fostering innovative basic and applied research in AI.
• Educating the next generation of researchers and practitioners.
• Working with established companies, startups, government agencies, and standard bodies to develop and transition AI technologies to widespread and practical applications.
• Supporting the public service mission of the University of California
