Center for Occupational and Environmental Health

Mission

Our mission is to make work, school, play and home environments healthy, safe, and sustainable, in our region, nationally and globally. We do this through:

  • Uncovering how the environment affects people’s health
  • Conducting research to prevent work-related illnesses and injuries
  • Educating and training the next generation of occupational and environmental health professionals, researchers and educators
  • Diagnosing and treating occupational and environmental illnesses
  • Working together with multiple stakeholders, including government, industry, schools, health professionals, workforces, and communities

Vision

Our vision is a world in which all people have access to healthy and safe work, homes, food, water, air, and ecosystems.
