The mission of the Center for the Advancement of Logic, its Philosophy, History and Applications is to: Increase national and international visibility of logic research within the school and across campus Foster collaboration between logicians, and scholars whose work substantially involves logic at UC Irvine Liaise with logic centers in California, the U.S., and abroad Interface with school units covering neighboring fields Guide graduate students to the frontiers of research through engagement with faculty projects Aid in the recruitment of graduate students interested in a career in logic Realize synergies in the planning, financing and running of conferences, workshops, and colloquia.
