Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center
The Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center (CFCCC) of the University of California, Irvine is the only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center based in Orange County and one of 51 nationwide Comprehensive Cancer Centers. During the past three decades, the CFCCC has carried out its mission to develop new knowledge about the etiology, causes, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancers, and has enacted a broad-based program to leverage this information to alleviate the burden of cancer on the residents of Orange County and surrounding areas. CFCCC brings together scientists and clinicians from more than 32 departments across seven schools at UCI, including the schools of Medicine, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Information & Computer Science, Engineering and Business.
