Postsecondary Education Research & Implementation Institute

The Postsecondary Education Research & Implementation Institute (PERI²) brings together an interdisciplinary team of leaders from across UCI, including the Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning and the School of Education, among others, with the aim of supporting and conducting research that fosters equitable student success.

To meet its goals, PERI² embraces both a research mission and an implementation mission.

  • Research mission: We aim to identify and disseminate cause-and-effect interventions, instructional practices, and policies that have the potential to increase postsecondary success and reduce educational inequality.
  • Implementation mission: We aim to support and facilitate the application of evidence-based interventions, instructional practices, and policies across a variety of postsecondary education settings.

To achieve the above goals, PERI² prioritizes the formation of partnerships with researchers, instructors, professional development staff, administrators, and others within the UCI community and higher education institutions beyond.
