Research Cyberinfrastructure Center (RCIC)

The Research Cyberinfrastructure Center (RCIC) at the University of California, Irvine is integral to research and teaching mission at UCI. It defines and maintains real infrastructure for high-performance and high-throughput computing, research data storage and analysis, and scientific software tool integration. Computing and data infrastructure is operated in a shared financial model where campus researchers[1] are given no-cost access to a baseline level of computing and highly-reliable storage, but can also purchase additional capacity and capability using grant or other funds. In addition, no-charge computation with modest local storage is available to a wider range of the campus community.
